About Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapy which involves using the thumb and fingers to apply pressure to the feet and /or hands. There are points on the hand and feet that relate to organs, glands, and systems of the body. These points are known as reflex points; a reflex occurs when stimulation at one point brings about a response in another area. 

 

You will learn about: 

History of reflexology, Reflexology theories, Benefits of reflexology, Creating a safe environment, Treatment planning and consultation, Contraindications, Contra-actions, Relevant Anatomy and Physiology, Zones of the foot, Treatment techniques of reflexology, Reflexology routine step-by-step, Online and face to face assessment days.

2 days practical assessment in our training room (2 or more applicant can request a student venue. Please ask for details.)

Plus, home study where you will need to complete a written assessment.

Suitable for beginners but holistic or massage background is advantage. Must be 18+

Equipment needed

All equipment, tools and products are provided on the day of practical training.

Dress code

Please wear professional uniform when attending a training course. This could be a tunic if you have one, or black top and black trousers.

• Step by step treatments protocol using different products, tools and techniques.

• Knowledge test (need to be sent back for marking prior your practical test)

• Final assessment, working on your model(s) 

• You will need to complete two case studies to complete your course. 

 

What do I need to know before I start the course?

Students must attend on the practical day(s) to complete their training. This will be agreed by the training school and the student. Confirmation email will be sent of the training schedule.

Knowledge test must be sent back for marking prior to the practical test. Failing to complete the knowledge test may result in delays receiving your certificate. This test will be sent with the course manual(s). The completed test can be sent back electronically to andibsbeautytraining@gmail.com or by post to AndiB’s Beauty Training, 14 Warnham Road, Broadbridge Heath/Horsham RH12 3JZ.

How will the course will be taught?

Home study - Please read your manual(s) prior to the practical test that we will send to you via email.

Day 1 - Practical test- you will demonstrate your understanding in theoretical subjects. You will be shown the reflexology techniques by your tutor then you will perform the treatment on your model.

 

Day 2 – Practical test – You will be asked to work on two models on the day. You will identify pressure points, any findings, treatment plans, Q&As. 

 

What do I need to know before I start the course?

Due to the Coronavirus regulations, you can bring only one model with you at a time. All students and models will be asked to complete a Health Questionnaire prior to the course.

You are not required to buy your product kit prior to the course. 

 

Is the course Accredited? 

All our courses are Accredited by ABT- Associated Beauty Therapists. Our course includes a certificate which will enable you to obtain liability insurance.

When will I get my certificate?

Students will receive their diploma after they have completed all written and practical assessments and completed two case studies at the end of the course. 

 

Equipment and Models.

You are not required to buy a kit for your training. We supply all tools and products on the day of practical test. 

​

Day 1: You will need to provide your own model(s)on Day 1 between 2pm-4.30pm. 

Day 2: You will also need a model(s) on Day 2 between 11.30am till 4.30pm.

ENROLMENT

You can enrol via our website by completing the Enrolment Form.

You will be required to pay £100 deposit to complete your enrolment. The balance of the course has to be paid at least 3 days before the first day of the practical test. Please note: The deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another course or person.

When we have received your deposit, we will send the course manual via email with all the information regarding your course(s)

​

Manual in hard copy can be purchased. Price is £10 each or £8.50 when you order 2 or more of each course you have enrolled.  Free postage (UK only) 

 

LOCATION

Our training room address is ,14 Warnham Road, Broadbridge Heath/ Horsham RH123JZ, West Sussex. You will have your training in a relaxing, friendly environment with the maximum personal attention. Contact name: Andrea (Andi).

Student’s location: You have the option to book your practical training in your chosen location, home or your beauty salon. You will be required to bring your own model. Travel charge applies. Please ask for details.  

 

DATE

Your training days will be allocated specially for you. So that is why is so important to attend on the agreed practical training day. Please contact us for a preferred day you would like to take your training. Courses can be booked Monday-Saturday only.

AndiB’s Beauty Training courses are accredited by ABT- Associated Beauty Therapists, which proves that they meet the highest industry standards. Our course includes a certificate which will enable you to obtain liability insurance.  

Before you  enrol on any of our courses, it is your responsibility to check with your potential/existing insurance provider and/or county council to ensure you are able to gain your public liability, business insurance and any council license requirements before booking a training course through AndiB’s Beauty Training. AndiB’s Beauty Training and ABT cannot be held responsible for local council requirements.

 

All booked courses must be carried out within 3 months of deposit paid or full payment being paid.  

 

By booking a training course place you are agreeing to the following:

• It is your responsibility to ensure you or the person(s) you are booking on the course meets the requirements as detailed within the course details before booking.

• Please note that we charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the full course fee if you cancel your course 72 hours or less prior to your course and the space cannot be filled. Not turning up on the day of your allocated day of the course will result in you being charged the full fee of the course.
